Meet Dr. Halina Lech, DDS

I am the dentist and owner of Brickton Dental Clinic LLC since 2021, and previously an owner of Devon Dental Clinic LTD since 1995. Upon graduation from UIC dental school in 1994 I’ve worked at Ashland Dental Group for 1 year. Prior to starting dental school I’ve gained experience and worked as a dental assistant for 6 years which sparked my interest in dentistry. I’m the proud mother of two amazing daughters, Julia and Caroline, and the wife of my husband of 28 years.
I belong to Spear Study Club for many years, where I spent a lot of hours studying and deepening my dental knowledge to better serve my patients.

I have graduated from Pomeranian University department of Dental School in Szczecin and continue my professional journey in Boston when l have graduated ( magna cum laude ) from Dental School at Tufts University.

I am grateful to found something what l love to do and find a lot of joy and fulfillment in taking care of my patients and their dental needs , quite often from very early age . It is privilege to be trusted to participate in their care and it is very rewarding to watch families grow throughout their lives. I have been fortunate to meet many wonderful people and families which stayed with me throughout my career and it is lovely to see them back in my dental chair even though they moved away from our Windy City.
I deeply care about my patients and have been very committed to deliver best care possible.
Besides work l really enjoy traveling. and exploring different places and cultures as well as spending time with my family and friends surrounded by beautiful nature .

Dr. Tolga Tozum, DDS, PhD

Periodontist & Implant Specialist

Dr. Tozum serves as Professor in the Department of Periodontics. He is a dental graduate from Gazi University in Ankara, Turkey and completed an integrated post-graduate clinical education program in Periodontics at Hacettepe University in Ankara, Turkey and Ph.D. training in bone metabolism from the University of Michigan and Hacettepe University. Dr. Tozum went on to earn a Certificate in Advanced Periodontics from the University of Illinois Chicago (UIC). Prior to joining UIC, Dr. Tozum served as Professor of Periodontics and Associate Dean of Dentistry at Hacettepe University. He also serves as a faculty member in the Advisory Board and Teaching Committee of PhD course in Bio-Engineering Applied to Medical Sciences at University of Messina, Italy, Adjunct Professor at Near East University, Cyprus and Adjunct Professor at Lokman Hekim University, Turkey.

Qian Xie BDS MS PhD

Associate Professor, Director of the Endodontics Prepatient Care

Dr. Qian Xie is a board-certified endodontist with advanced clinical and academic training in both China and the United States. She earned her BDS, MS, and PhD in Oral Science from Sichuan University’s West China College of Stomatology and completed her Endodontics Certificate at the University of Illinois Chicago (UIC). She is a licensed specialist in Illinois and has been a Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics since 2014, recertified in 2024.
Dr. Xie served as a Board Director (District IV) for the American Association of Endodontists (2022–2025) and current serve on board of the Edgar D. Coolidge Endodontic Study Club. She has chaired sessions at international conferences, including the IADR General Session and the International Conference on Novel Anticaries and Remineralizing Agents. A committed scholar, she has reviewed over 30 manuscripts for leading journals such as the Journal of Endodontics and Journal of Dental Research.
She is an active member of multiple professional organizations, including the AAE, ADA, CDS, and the International College of Dentists. Dr. Xie’s career reflects a strong commitment to clinical excellence, education, and advancing the field of endodontics.

Roksana Stekala DMD

General Dentist

Dr. Roksana Stekala is a compassionate general dentist dedicated to providing gentle, patient-centered care for children and adults. She earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Midwestern University in Downers Grove, Illinois.
Dr. Stekala takes special care with patients who experience dental anxiety and understands that many people avoid dental visits due to past negative experiences. She finds it deeply rewarding to help patients feel comfortable, safe, and cared for—transforming their outlook on dental care. She also enjoys educating her patients, empowering them to take an active role in maintaining their oral health.
Fluent in both Polish and English, Dr. Stekala is proud to serve and connect with members of the local community.
Outside the office, Dr. Stekala enjoys spending time with her husband and their three dogs. Together, they can often be found walking through the neighborhood or exploring local trails.
